Available to download vs cd's? I can't find my copy anymore and wanted to put it on my laptop for when I went on camping trips or vacations as I'm not lugging my Aurora around to fly FSX in the middle of nowhere

You still have to pop into your favourite Game Shop/Amazon, etc, and purchase the genuine FS 2004 Boxed CD article...
...!
It is still available...

Ratz! Was hoping to get a quick download. Supposed to drive down to Savannah either tonight or first thing tomorrow for a 5k my wife is doing with her friends. Looks like i'll be hanging out in one of the most haunted pubs on the east coast instead............and that ain't a bad thing

The great beauty of FS 2004, (and there are many of them), is that it will sail along very successfully on the lowliest of computers...
...!
Its time to stock up on genuine copies of FS 2004 before they disappear from the shelves!

Very true. I may go on the hunt this weekend for a used possibly new copy if I can track one down for the laptop.

I have not found a hard copy of FS9 in any stores in years. I have seen it on Amazon, but that is it. I recently made a zipped copy of all of my FS9 files for a back up complete with the 'no cd hack' in case my rather used discs become unreadable. As soon as you get a copy of FS9, I suggest installing the no-cd hack and making a copy of your files. Odd that it is becoming a precious commodity!

I am hoping that one, (or two), Publishers will pick up on FS 2004, (and FSX), and perhaps re-issue it/them under their own brand name, as they have done in the past when the original Publisher no longer supports the Product.
With the advent of "Flight", I would hate so see our popular MS Flight Sims completely disappear from the shelves!

I have a question based on this thread, is the metal boxed edition a collectors item?
I have a copy of both and have used the paper boxed one for years, matter of fact I have never even opened the metal version.
