Last week I did make a light-hearted post about putting things in the right forum as some people seem to be too lazy to actually bother using their brain or just seem to think annoying the hell out of mods is funny! All these postings weren't blatantly not meant to be in the General Discussion Forum.

No sooner do I log in tonight than I find a blatant FSX post in the forum!!!! It even had FSX in the TITLE!
Hello? Have you had a lobotomy? Have you abdicated use of your frontal lobes?

Do certain people here think it is amusing to waste mods time because they're lazy?

I asked nicely, now I'm cross! PLEASE think before you post, aircraft stuff belongs in Real Aviation, computer software belongs in Computers and Software, hardware problems belong in the Hardware Forum! Etc, etc, etc.

I'm not going to name names or accept apologies. I just expect a small change in a few peoples attitudes. We mods don't get paid to do this, we help out because we believe in SimV and Pete's vision of FS. If you can't respect us and that, then I think you need to take a long hard look inside and ask yourself what you want from FS and the forums? You're possibly in the wrong place. We're a friendly bunch and I hate to put my foot down but when people persistently ignore what they've been asked nicely to do then some laying down of the law is necessary. I hate doing this, it makes me feel like being a teacher all over again.

This really isn't that complex. Some of us would like to spend time with our children rather than clearing up your mess. Please stop being selfish and lazy (and this REALLY is what it comes down to) and THINK! I appreciate that newbies get confused but there are people here with hundreds of posts who should know better (we know who you are).

I am growing tired of repeating this message, so this is my last call on this. I won't make threats, I won't rant, I'll just take action. Please think... it could save you from a marmalade experience you won't enjoy. The old hands know what this means Wink

To use a common phrase, +1.

To you Mark. Smiley

P.S. I'll never post a video in the general discussion board again. The thought of you Marmalade bombing my house keeps me awake at night. Shocked

Marmalade... Also known as the honey of wasps  Tongue

It's not pleasant, especially when piping hot. Needless to say, after such a threat as that, everyone should be relectant to post in the improper forum.

Having posted in the wrong area before when I started out, I now live in fear of this "Marmalade bombing". What ever it is, I wish to not induce the wrath of such a wonderful mod!

Lesson learned for me! Embarrassed

When I was eight years old, I ate a whole jar of orange marmalade.  I am now 48 and to this day, I cannot touch the stuff.  I can still taste it.  Ugh...   Tongue

Thanks for the kind words guys, I mod here because I love the site and I have the utmost respect for Pete and the rest of the team. And of course I've made so many wonderful friends here, some I only ever chat with online due to global geography, others I've been lucky enough to supp beer with.
This is my e-home, even the wife refers to it as such Grin

Last night was one of those times for me, I won't have another wobbler for a good 18 months now.... unless someone does something mind-bendingly daft! Of course as Einstein said "Only two things are infinite....." Grin

Hmm, that sounds familiar for some strange reason.  Undecided

Well Golly Gee Willikers; look at what 's below for other commentary on the state of human stupidity.  Wink

Speaking of states, I think mine is the focal point for all universal forms of stupidity. Even the governor is said to be the dumbest in the nations history. Roll Eyes

Thank God I was born in another state and in another time when common sense was still used.... Roll Eyes

Or the occasional bottle of Hungarian Vodka (that still has yet to be opened)?

I thought it was because of those incriminating pics of you that Pete keeps under his pillow...  Grin

I've screwed up a time or 2 since 2006 and no what it is to be threatened with the deadly "marm". I havn't had a good marmalade sammich since 06....

Mark,if I trip from time to time I do hope for a gentle smack to the back of my head to get me straight again vs a bottle of "marm" broke over it Grin. This is the only forum I visit and am subscribed to. I'd hate to lose my little corner of my "e-home" as well.

Hope you've had a pint since your post and all is well with you my friend.

Take care

Mike

I was under the impression that "Marmalade Bombing" was outlawed by the Geneva Conventions.

The initial post of this thread did remind me of one important thing though.....

I'd rather a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy!

Mike, we all err from time-to-time. I've even moved threads in error Embarrassed
I don't mind mistakes, it is just extracting the Michael after being asked nicely that really gets my goat.
