I dislike default FSX scenery, so I usually only fly where I have good add on sceneries. This has limited me to very little in terms of the North American Continent.......until now.

I finally purchased GEX North America for FSX. It covers all of the continental United States and Canada. Though not OrbX quaility (as far as custom objects and eye candy), it is far superior to default from what I've seen.

This shot was taken between Edwards AFB and China Lake.....I really like the improved desert textures.
...

This one was taken just North of the USA/Mexico border on the coast of California.
You can see the urban textures ( a little) here.....
...

I wanted to check out the "Great White North", but inclement weather kept me from flying VFR near Colville Lake in the Northwest Territories of Canada.....
...

Good thing I learned to navigate with my trusty radios....
...
Thanks 4 looking Smiley

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

Great shots Chuck. Wink

If you want to fly round New Zealand I can recommend RealNZ scenery & also I think ORBX NZSI is pretty good but not as good as RealNZ.

The ORBX one is better I think due to the fact that it has 'best of payware' award. Wink

ORBX is good for a whole region but Real NZ is great for individual airports.

BTW The only reason ORBX was voted best of payware was because they have loads of products.

Have a look at the Real NZ website & decide for yourself.

I'll bet I'll surf between 30 to 40 Flight Sim web sites and blogs every 3 days, usually late at night into the morning hours , and I've never came across that New Zealand site before !   I have up on my YOU TUBE Site on the left about 20 off the wall Flight Sim links too, but, if your intersteaded, you'd best hurry, before YOU TUBE wreaks havoc this week with everybodys site with the change - get those links now before its too late !  Heres my site, links on the left side.  (  http://www.youtube.com/user/IFLYWINGS?feature=mhee  )

The PRODUCT is best of payware...
And have you seen this?

ORBX is famous for its detailed airports.
Even in their free PNW demo you get high quality airports+the area itself.

I too have the same Terrain package to include Europe as well. Although mine doesn't quite look like yours. Must have something to do with the terrain mesh settings. Perhapse i'll post a few here of a couple of areas on my rig for comparison and let you be the judge. Mine don't look bad, just not like yours. I'll show you soon. Beautiful shots as well Wink

Your shots never fail to impress.

The right colors, right aircraft, crisp, blended with high quality scenery.

A very good recipe for pro shots.

Well done!!

I'll wait till I get ORBX NZSI but in my opinion Real NZ is better than ORBX .

You have never tried Real NZ so don't just assume that ORBX is better.

I have Real NZ Marlborough & Wanaka & I have been to both airports in real life so I know what they look like & in Real NZ I can find my way round both airports.

The person who makes Real NZ is upgrading them for NZSI & would he be doing that if he thought that ORBX was better.

So you've never been to NZ, have never tried Real NZ scenery & automatically assume that ORBX is better.

I asume its better because ORBX covers the entire island and real NZ only covers airports from what I understand?

Correct, ORBX covers the whole Island & Real NZ covers the airports & area around the airports.

But Real NZ covers the airports in higher detail compared to ORBX, for example if I flew to Omaka with ORBX I wouldn't see the Big Green BP hanger or the Aviation Heritage Centre but Real NZ has both of those buildings along with many more.
