I was just flying my RC plane and heard something flying overhead, but since I needed to focus on my plane I couldn't look....it happened to pass just right so I could catch a glimpse of it flying away...
IT WAS A DC-3! MY FAVORITE PLANE, THAT I'VE NEVER SEEN IN THE AIR, AND I MISSED IT FLY DIRECTLY OVERHEAD!
So I repeat....AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!

I know your pain... a couple of years-ago I was up in Madison, WI at Dane County Regional when I heard a jet engine over head but I was to caught up in my phone to look up, and after it flew right over me I looked up and saw it was an F-16 (one of my top 5 aircraft) from the WI ANG (which is based at Dane County Regional). So if I may join you...

I had a similar situation last week. Out with my RC Heli. My youngest is mad about anything that flies. So there I am doing my thing, when he runs forward at I hover. As that put me off somewhat, the helicopter started to track in his direction. So I am left with the choice, helicopter hits small boy and survives
The down side being the visit to the hospital and taking my child home with multiple lacerations
(and explaining how he got them to his mother
) or dumping the helicopter into the ground and having a child in one bit with no surface imperfections.......................I am waiting for a spare part delivery as I type
