It was awesome! I live about an hour and a half away from Ellsworth AFB in South Dakota. I knew they were going to be flying them today so I went and watched.  For a bomber those aircraft are fast and agile... and loud.  They were also flying low altitude and the angle at which they were turning was unbelievable. I mean, the one had his/her B1 at about the angle of this backslash... /  I wish I had thought to take my camera...    It was cool though. there were 2 of them and one would take off, go about 3-4 miles out and circle around, then the other one would take off and do the same thing, while the previous one landed. They did this for about 45 minutes. Just taking off, circling, and then landing. The size was kind of impressive too.

They should be doing it again here soon.    I will try and go and take pictures and/or record a video of the Lancer(s) taking off. The sound is just really cool... Lol

I believe that was the B-1R project. I have no idea what has come of it, I think the project quietly died. But with the B-X program in full swing then maybe it could come back. One can hope!
