The Boeing Set (Read 833 times)

Here is my collection of payware Boeing airliners.

I love Boeing simple as that. There all iconic and stunning.

Airbus to me seem plastic with no passion or excitement in the design or flying of the aircraft.
Airbuses are made to do a job which they do very well, but I would never call one cool or exciting.
As they say 'If it ain't Boeing, I ain't going!'

From left to right they are; PMDG 747-400, CS 767-300, QW757-200, PMDG 737-800NGX and the CS 727-100.

I used FS Recorded to line up all the aircraft at the same time, I was originally trying to do an arial shot but lining up all the aircraft at the same time in a nice pattern was beyond me  Roll Eyes

If anyone has any questions about that aircraft or would like some advice please ask  Wink

Thanks for looking!

They also have never used 727s, don't use any 757s anymore or fly out of the airport I took the shot at with anything other than an a319

Sooooo if this isn't 100% accurate, sorry Captain Pedantic  Wink

Sure is, it's the UK2000 extreme version.  They do a free ware version to which just has a few things left out like lamp posts and signs etc. Well worth getting though.

I got the payware version because I was so impressed with the free version and used it so often I felt like I should show my appreciation by buying the full one. The make a freeversion of pretty much every major U.k Airport so there well worth looking.

Nice set o' shots!
Just before Christmas there was a special on CaptainSim 'everything'.  I picked up the 707, 727, and 757 Captains and expansion paks for pretty much the same price as one set.  Looks like the PMDGs are just as nice.

I too am a Boeing fan.

Sorta brought up on 'em as a kid being I grew up on the flightpath for KSTL just shy of the 3-mile marker.  707s and 727s by the dozens sometimes. Cool

That's when I got my 727 and 767 I could't resist for €9.99, I love the 727 it's just the coolest looking thing! The 767 is good and all but it hasn't got a 'Pause at top of decent' feature which makes long hauling a pain so I just end up using the PMDG 747 'cos I can set up a flight plan and go to work/sleep/pub etc then land when I get home.

I've never seen a 707 in person, I think I've seen a 727 but I'm not sure, I remember seeing tri jets when I was younger but they may have been Hawker Siddeley Tridents which I don't think ever made it to the U.S. or even off the runway a lot of the time..... Undecided

The 3-mile marker beacon was on the roof of the church connected to our gradeschool.  Late 60s/early 70s was primetime for 707s and 727s.

707s were loud, smoky, big, all around cool seeing them as a kid as they went over.

Then, later on in life, I got to go for an all-day ride with the Pennsy Air Guard on one of their KC-135s.  400 mile orbit over South Florida gassin' F-16s, F-15s, a couple Guard F-4s, and a C-5!  Awesome bow wake on the Galaxy!!!

The highlight of the day was the 40 or so minutes of the 10 hour flight when I got the privilege of sitting in the left seat.

Silly crew let me "drive" for a turn!!! Cheesy

They let me make one turn, complete with pushing up the throttles a bit, from 270 to 180 over the Gulf.

Took like two days for the smile to go away! Smiley

Great shots, Dave Cool Cool

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"
