Mfaulisi brought this hoist/slingload tutorial to my attention in a post of his a while back.
The tutorial is for the Aerosoft Jayhawk/Seahawk, but it works for any helicopter with a little editing.
In short, it teaches you how to put a hoist and sling on any helicopter. Then you can add any of the
objects/people that are able to be attached onto to your AI Carrier program and place them wherever you want. The objects that you can attach to behave just like in the heli missions, pick 'em up, put 'em down...pick 'em back up....etc.
You can set up land or sea rescue scenarios, heli logging, cargo delivery whatever a helicopter would do as a workhorse.
These shots are of slingload operations.........I want to practice rescues with the hoist more, I'm not as good with the line being on the side of the chopper
If you want to test your heli piloting skills, try this
TUTORIAL
out
Taking an elite team of Marines and their vehicle to a drop-off point.....
Some propane and propane accessories.....this one's heavier than it looks and makes a very nice explosion if you drop it
Re-supplying checkpoint Charlie......
Some heli-logging in British Columbia. I had to reduce the weight of this log from 9000 to 4500 lbs to get it off the ground. The Huey still didn't like it
Ferrying some supplies to McMurdo Station......
Thanks 4 looking
"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

Aw man those are all awesome again
Something about that first one though I really like. I think the angle and the bloom effect looks great!

You guys are welcome.
I searched around for a while when I found out the normal hoist didn't work on the Jayhawk and I ended up finding a lot of info. So, I thought I'd combined it all into one source. Now I just need to use it more.
