I figured I should make a topic about my current project.
The Acceleration Hornet has sparse bump maps and
really awful specular maps (the aft fuselage one is even inverted compared to the others for god knows what reason). I'm remaking the exterior textures to replace the default schemes from scratch, putting every panel line and rivet on the bump map, making oil and residue stains on the specular map, and making new textures that are more accurate in terms of both mechanics and markings (aircrew warning markings, Long Beach font, better-defined USN two-tone scheme, etc). The first pack of textures is available
here, including remakes of the default USMC, USN, and desert aggressor schemes (desert aggressor is changed from Omars to NSAWC, just because I couldn't find good references for VFC-12 desert schemes).
