... that it is cold but I've just driven home from a shift at my friends pub and I was most impressed when the mighty Bettina told me it was -14'C whilst I was pottering back to Chesham
Yesterday morning I was also impressed that even with the heating on there was a mild frost on the inside of my front door (and yes we did have the heating on all night)!
Gotta love winter

We have an unusual cold front coming through South Florida.
The weather has been miserable all week, rain keeping locals away from
The Allianz Championshiop
.
I couldn't even play golf on Friday.
Predictions are lows Saturday night of 45 °F/7 °C.
A bad day at golf is better than a good day at work.

-10F this morning here in the Blackhills of Dakota. Going to be around 30 and sunny on Sunday, no football or nascar, gona hit the lake and catch some trout and hopefully a few perch. Best thing about this weather is you don't have to worry about bringing ice for the beer. Now where's my auger and those hand warmers I got for xmas.

Yesterday and Friday, here on the North German Plain, we had -14 and it was snowing. The nights have been hitting -16 at work, add to that the wind chill and it is colder than a frog's knob. I had to change a brake the other night, my hands stung as soon as I took my gloves off. Then from one extreme to another. I had to go to an airport for an AOG to pull the oleo of a main gear as the seals were leaking. The hanger was so hot is was almost unbearable.

Dude, I am SO jealous!
I was just talking with a couple of friends about going ice fishing at a recent get together... I need to bring that to fruition! We usually go to Green Mountain Reservoir, where the prime catch are Kokanee salmon; oh, are they good!
All of my gear has just been sitting there ready to go, but I've been rehabbing two bad knees over the last three years... now's the time.
Would love to hear about your trip when you take it; and maybe a couple screenies of your success!
Alan

Been cold in Sussex too. Went for a cycle ride with wife and mate last tues. Rode from Rye to Camber and then to Lydd. Snow blanketing Romney Marsh, a wedge of swans whistling overhead. Brilliant sunshine and bloody cold. We found a greasy spoon open in Camber so we had a cup of tea
Wednesday, handbrake frozen on the old VW T4. Thursday, battery flat. Friday, rear exhaust box fell off. Saturday, exhaust fixed but the mechanic parked it with handbrake on and it froze up again (I did tell him).

Hmmm. It's been relatively warm in West Sussex, along the coast anyway. I don't think the temperature has dropped below -3 C all winter.

I did a quick check and Chesham was the coldest place in England at -17.8'c on Saturday night
Of course at home in Hungary it was much worse so I told all the bleating sheep in the office to stop moaning and look at some snaps from near my house....
Funnily enough people have stopped discussing the weather
Here is some proper cold for you all
The bus stuck just up the road from my house...
The Danube, nearly cold enough to skate from Buda to Pest

It is scorching here. If you leave a car outside for an hour at midday when you come back you can fry eggs on it
.
And wait Mark, you work at the bar?
Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

Yup, I do a bit of bar work on the weekends. My friend is leaving the pub at the beginning of April so I'll be quitting then and reclaiming my weekends.
