Now hold up for a sec. First of all. I know the aircraft is freeware, but I've got the skin send over by a friend.

Second of all. The rules clearly state that you cannot use payware aircraft or scenery. Rex may be payware but. this particular sky theme is also available as a freeware package on the web. I can't tell the difference between them.

Oh and by the way: the thrust nozzles whould be slightly pitched up if it was the IRIS f22.

I believe that's a freeware F-22.........but the sky/clouds and aircraft lights look a lot like REX to me.

I searched and could not find any legitimate freeware REX downloads for sky and cloud textures........please correct me with a link to where the textures came from.

Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

sites.google.com/site/aimecreations/freeware-fsx/fsx-clouds-screenshots
That one plus:
simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=hde+
that one is even better than Rex.
Now you might say that you can't get the same color, well that's because Ive chosen a day with a high aërosol consentration Wich causes the sky to turn orange.

And please. Andy Ive been editing fsx since it's released. Don't tell me how to install a texture. It's as easy as pie.

Sorry I should have phrased that better. And I was not intending to be a "wise guy".

It is a great shot. Smiley

Surely regardless of what you've got if you are running REX it's not within the rules.

So if I run a freeware sky package in a just in a payware installer it still isn't allowed. Because the only thing REX does is install textures.

Are you saying that you have HDE installed over the REX textures?

I don't believe you about the sky,i've been flying in FSX for quite some time and you can't possibly get that sky withouth REX,since FSX doesn't take that into acount when its downloading real world weather. Roll Eyes

REX doesn't just do sky textures, it affects your ground textures, runway textures, light textures, bloom effects. So much stuff you simple can't have it on and be within the rules when using it.

I don't see the big problem though I use REX but I just press restore the default textures button before I enter the competition, that resets everything to default and means there are no disputes about the rules.
