Thanks for the reply Dave, always fun learning new things. Sorry for not posting the file link, that is indeed the one. I did look up this section(aircraft configuration file,contact points and effects) in the SDK to have a look see also. I have changed the Float section all to 0's in the 13th column because I am not sure which points are the left and right floats. Columns 14 and 15 are not included in this file and are not needed, if I read the SDK correctly. The ICON has no wing floats, just the main fuselage sits in the water. The scraping sounds have stopped but now I get no sounds upon landing. From what you have told me and what I read, the water effect is the one that pertains to landing, taxing and takeoff's. Not sure what I have done wrong. I did change around the Effect section, trying different effects to no avail. Below is the two sections mentioned above as they stand now in my CFG file.
