More shots from Antarctica by Aerosoft

These are from Rothera Research Station,  one of the coolest places I've seen so far in the scenery.

Here's the wheel/ski model, Doug Wink
...

Taking off with the Polarstern docked in the background.
...

Taking in the scenery.....
...

.....coming back home after some extensive.....uhhh....research Wink
...

Not the most forgiving runway..........
...
Thanks 4 looking Smiley

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

Oh wow....shots are wonderful... Smiley

That aircraft must be in all configurations then.

-floats
-amphibious floats
-wheels
-wheel/skis
-skis

Chuck will the skis retract for just wheel landings and are there different ski settings or just up and down?

If so then all aircraft developers should take note on that is the way to do it.

If the aircraft can be used in different configurations then that is the way to develop it... Wink

Different ski settings would be much more realistic as there are reasons for using different ski settings when flying real world aircraft.

Oh I posted a question in the other Antarctica post asking about the Twotter configurations before I read this one.

Sorry Chuck... Smiley

Who makes this aircraft or is it Freeware?

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Thanks guys Smiley

@Doug........the skis are adjustable, but there are only two positions (probably a limitation of FSX)....full ski and wheels down Undecided

The model is from Aerosoft......here's a link.

http://www.fspilotshop.com/product_info.php?cPath=2_70_71&products_id=1446

I'd look around and see if you can catch it on sale somewhere though Cool

@Micheal.....the only Dash 7 I know of is for FS9 by Milton Shupe........I believe it has been ported over for FSX, but I don't have a link Embarrassed
EDIT:

I found the Dash 7 port over....here's the link

Hey, Doug....

No amphibious model Cry Cry

The five models are:
•Five models (100 floats/wheels/ski, 300 wheel/wheel ski)

I don't know why they left out an amphibious model Huh Huh
It's been out for quite some time now, so we probably can't even hope for an update Tongue
