JC DaveSHQ...22
nd
January!!!
Welcome all to this weeks JC Contest!
DaveSHQ
takes a seat on the judges bench this week,
and earned his spot with this shot :
And for the theme we're going from "WWII Warbirds!!" to...
"HELICOPTERS!!"
Judge DaveSHQ says:
"I was in the Army as a structure mechanic on just about every helo the US Army had. Coming from an Air Force family you'd think I'd be an all jet kid,
but I can't help but love the whop whop of a helo.
Since helicopter contest shots are rare for the next contest lets see
what you have in your inventory, military or civilian!!
Good luck."
THIS WEEK'S OTHER RULES, please read for deadlines
1. There can be freeware & payware in the shots, Any Flight Sim, Any Version. Editing and composites are NOT allowed! Military and civilian helos are both allowed.
2. You nominate one shot only, without image tags so the thread limit doesn’t get hammered. Or, if you prefer, a thumbnail of about 5 kb. IT CAN BE AN OLD SHOT if you don’t have time to create something especially for the comp, though original entries are encouraged. Post it in this thread, below.
3. Once an entry is submitted, it may not be changed or replaced with a different one. This is to keep the confusion to a minimum, and to maintain forum integrity. Entries may be withdrawn from the contest, but no additional entries from that member will be accepted.
DEADLINE for submission of shots is 8 PM EST on Sat 28
th
of January,
4. The judge will choose which shot is best and tell me as soon as possible
"please try to remember"
DEADLINE FOR JUDGE TO INFORM :
'once the judge has made up his/her mind!!'
THE WINNER IS THE NEXT JUDGE!
And, your winning shot goes into the Personal Portfolios!
5. The winner should decide on the next competition, and tell me by Monday, 30
th
January, send four pics, plus a short text to describe the competition and what they are looking for.
6. This is for fun, so just post whatever seems to you to fit the rules.
It might be an idea to check out our Judge's work, see what he likes....
Good luck to all, thanks for looking, and dont forget to spread the word about this competition!!
Cheers, good luck all,
patchz

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Finally I get to bring out the ol' EH101 again! It's been getting a bit rusty in the hangar, but I must admit, I still love it, and it still flys like a dream.
Though I have some BIG questions.
THE 28TH OF
DECEMBER
?!?!?!?
can we please make that more like the 28th of January?
And also, who's the judge? DaveSHQ like the title or DaveS
J
Q when it says _ takes a seat this time?

And now for my entry.
Final Flight
Alright trainee, this is your final flight, got it? That means if you pass this one, we're sticking on the door guns and shipping you out to practice firing training, and then you're heading straight to the combat zone, so don't skrew this one up. Now good luck.

Nice shot! The angle's great, but to be honest, it's a bit too blurry for me. You do really well on the ones you do of being right behind a jet with it, it looks REALLY good there, but on the one's with a bit slower and the helis, it's just a bit much.
And also, sadly, I'm afraid you might have been past the deadline. You were in my timezone.
You might want to check that. I hope you weren't, it's still a good shot.

Thanks for being honest. I actually did that shot on a tight schedule. It looked much better when at full res
.
But honestly as I stated before I don't really see myself winning this one. Or even coming into the finals
.
But the reason for the blur is because I wanted the helicopter to be the centre. And I was also trying to replicate a pic of the DCS ka-50 I cannot seem to find.
.
Good Luck to all

The problem isn't that the JC hasn't responded..........
We lost the mods that were running the JC contest.......(Cantflywontfly and Patchz)
We're stretched pretty thin. Maybe when we get the Monthly Screenshot Contest going strong again we can take some time to revive the JC Contest

I think you have missed the point, Jetprop.
Pick all the themes you want....we still need someone to volunteer their time to run this thing, or we're just wasting time
