Hello fellow on-line, Multiplayer Pilots....
...!
Many of us have been regularly flying on-line since FS 2002, but I rarely see any our our newer Sim V Pilots up in the "Multiplayer air" nowadays!
Sim V has its own Multiplayer Server... 178.63.253.134
..but it is protected by a password, and at the moment it is off the air!
Our other popular alternatives are:
(1) Worlds Serious Pilots: 66.90.73.187 (Choice of three Ports 23456, 23457, and 23458).
(2) New Zealand Server: (Inspire) 203.114.130.15.
(3) Flightsim: 67.240.51.120.
...there are many more to chose!...
The details of the MS Flight Sim Multiplayer activity from all around the World can be found here via FS Host:
http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/fshost/
(It is suitable for FS 2002, FS 2004, and FSX).
Run "FSHostSpy" to see who is on line at the moment!...
...(Put a FSHostSpy short-cut Icon on your desktop for immediate access)!
Post the "IP address" of your favourite Multiplayer Server here!
Its fun arranging short trips or tours, (or even Air Shows!), lasting for an hour, or so, over a pre-arranged route.
Lets explore the World..Together!
(Don't forget the different on-line Time Zones for each of us!)...
...!
So there you go Chums. Lets see more Sim V Pilots up in the air, and having fun.....TOGETHER!...
...!
Paul...FS 2004 + FS Navigator...Fozzer...G-BPLF...You have control!...

I have not tried the multiplayer yet for either FS2004 or FSX so forgive me for my ignorance but I am assuming its just like normal offline play except you can have other people in your airspace correct? Either way, I have both but FS2004 is currently installed so if anyone is willing to help me figure it out, I'll fly with you.

Note: For the Sim V Multiplayers, the official Sim V Server 178.63.253.134 is presently out of action and it is not known when it will be back on-line again.
203.114.130.15 (Inspire)
http://203.114.130.15:81/
is OK.
The FS Pilots main Site is down, but the in-game Server seem to be working OK: 66.90.73.187 ..(23456, 23457, and 23458)....edit: still problems!
Paul...FS 2004 + FS Nav...G-BPLF...
...!
P.S. Dont forget to run FSHostSpy to show who is on line, for all the Servers all around the world...>>>
http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/fshost/
P.P.S at the mo'. only the 203.114.130.15 Inspire Server seems to be the most reliable...

A useful add-on for Firefox Browser users:
FoxClocks 2.9.35
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/foxclocks/
This will add a line to the bottom of your Firefox Browser indicating the real-time in the various selected Time Zones throughout the World.
This is extremely useful in Multiplayer activity, knowing what time it is in your fellow Pilots location...(is he/she likely to be still in bed!).
I have UK, US Eastern, US Central, US Mountain, US Pacific, and New Zealand selected. All indicating up-to-date times!

Hello all!
Some of our Sim V Multiplayer Pilots have been enquiring about our Sim V Multiplayer Server fs.netfrag.org (178.63.253.134).
http://games.netfrag.org/
Unfortunately, it has been out of action for some time now, and similar to the WS Pilots Site (66.90.73.187), it seems to have been abandoned now..(lack of use?).
The New Zealand Server: Inspire (203.114.130.15) is popular, and appears to be very reliable, and used by various Sim V Members:
http://203.114.130.15:81/
So, until the Sim V and WSP Server come back on-line again? the Inspire Server looks good to go!...

Planning and publishing a World Tour on Multiplayer take a lot of pre-planning, dedication, and mapping, and the hope that Members will actually use it!
It has to be published on the Server's Hop List.
Many of the Multiplayer Server Sites have a number of Tours, etc, already planned...(the Inspire Server we use, already has a series of Hops in progress).
(The Alaska Tour on the Sim V Server was very popular, a while ago).
Note: that NO "aerobatics" or "buzzing" is allowed on any of the Multiplayer Tours, Hops, etc, affecting other Pilots...which is why the "Password" access scheme on the Server was introduced.

like that rule will be followed.
A quick scan through "FS Host Spy*" will list dozens of Multiplayer Servers who have applied a lock to their service,
requiring a Password to enter, only obtainable by individual request.
The Sim V Multiplayer Server applied a lock to their service for similar reasons.
The alternative is to select a "Free-Flight" Server, but the same rules apply, insisted on by the Server, to respect other Pilots, whilst on-line.
These rules have been in existence since the introduction of Multiplayer Activity in the Flight Sim World.
It's called.... "Etiquette".
Paul.

Hello Adam...
...!
The rules particularly apply when joining a Multiplayer Session when other Pilots are found to be already on-line at the same time. It is important not to interfere with their flight unless requested to join in the flight, (via the Chat Window or Teamspeak).
I mostly avoid connecting to Server if I observe that there are already other, unknown, Pilots on line. I then select another Server so as not to annoy them.
We generally know each other, and invite each other along for our Sim V Flights.
But be aware if connecting to a Server when there are already other Pilots on-line from other Sites.
The "Lock" and "Password on application" option is to prevent annoying "Spamming" during Multiplayer Sessions!

For prospective FSX Pilots having difficulties connecting to Multiplayer sessions using Gamespy, try this method...>>>
To connect to Multiplayer using FS Host instead of Gamespy, download and install this program...>>>
FS Host Client:
http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/fshost/?fshostclient.html
Read the "readme" file included in the download, it will explain how to connect FSX to a Multiplayer Session.
FS 2004 pilots use FS Host:

Hello Multiplayer Chums...
...!
If, perchance, you find that out usual Inspire Server;...203.114.130.15 is rather busy with other Pilots, and you don't wish to disturb them, try our alternative Server; WS Pilots on... 66.90.73.187....>>>
Port addresses:
23456 USAF Airbases.
23457 Alaska.
23458 World Tour.....(go for this one. Its mostly very quiet!).
You may find that some Pilots are using "Team Speak" for their inter-communication, so although they are listed, they wont appear to be typing in the Chat Window, and our constant typing may? annoy them!...
....!
So, there you go...another alternate, free, Server for FS 2004 and FSX, for when times get busy!...
...!
Paul....
...!
The Worlds Serious Pilots (WSP) Main Site and Forum is still unavailable, but their Multiplayer Servers still seem to be operating OK!

I notice that sometimes during a Multiplayer Session we get removed from the Server, together with a Warning Notice.
This is sometimes due to a Pilot using a Modem Router, and not setting all the Router ports to be "open".
This prevents proper interconnection between Pilots and the Server, resulting in a disconnection.
Installing this application, and running it, will test all your Modem/Router ports, and inform you if there are any problems!

i never had this problem.
only times i got disconected was because my pc or FSX froze or crashed.
we did take the side of and cleaned it a bit.
MASSIVE clump of dust near the fan.
removed it,now its way quieter.
haven't tested it out with FSX yet...
still,at least the noise is gone.
