Well all I can say is I applaude Mr. Lucas and I for one WILL be going to the cinema to watch this!

I just pray he doesn't do a prequel as badly as he did with Star Wars!
There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

Mustangs, P-40s, B-17s, Bf-109s, Me-262s, what is not to like? HOWEVER I am getting sick of people (including Lucas himself) saying this is the first moving portraying the all Black fighter squadron. This is not true at all, look up Tuskegee Airmen, another awesome movie I might add!

Tuskagee is an EXCELLENT film! I think often overlooked in favour of more traditional fair in the genre all the "big battle" epics.

Tuskagee is a terrific film! I was priveleged to meet two of the pilots during a color guard last year in Half Moon Bay honoring their heroics.
Red Tails looks like it should be amazing as well. Can't wait to see it!

This movie has a great potential to be in the top 5 movies of the year but it either has too have 2 things.
1. A great storyline (almost definitely)
2. It should also focus on the planes. e.g No 30g turns by ro make it more dramatic.
It's nice to see a movie that is focused on blacks during the war.
Good luck Lucas films.
I will watch it while my family will be watching "underworld".
Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

The movie looks awesome, but they put dubstep in the commercial... So I'm suspicious.

Saw the movie last night, at a grand premiere full of CAF members in Minneapolis. It was better than I expected. All of the flying looked very real, especially knowing there were no real aircraft used. My only complaint was having the story of the airmen get watered down slightly by the typical Hollywood need to have a love interest, and conflict between characters. I think it lost a little bit there.

I watched it lastnight. I don't want to details and spoil it for those of you have haven't seen it, but I was a bit disapointed.

I hate that too. This is why I love rambo movies so much, no romance. A bit of a romance in Rambo II but it was more of a background thing.
My sister in law went and saw Red Tails last night and said it was very good, but she also likes Twilight so I can't use her as a judge.
I will probably have to wait until it comes out on BR before I can see it, busy with a new addition to my family.
