I certainly don't. At the time I was just a happy little boy in his last year of freedom before going to school.
This website is amazing. You can put there any website you want and it will show you how it looked through the ages, and you can actually navigate in it, for some pages...

I've used Wayback a few times for other sites. I haven't been here very long but I did get time to read back through the forum topics from years ago. I'm not sure that's possible anymore, from this site (Simv) at least.
Flying with twins is a lot of fun..

Cool!
And as to who remembers this: Uhhhhhh... Interesting. None of the members in the forum members section has any members registered before Jan 2001. And also, who's crumbsy, and how the heck did he get in before pete when pete was the site's founder?

The earliest Members here started from Jan 2002 (Profiles) when the Site was again modified, but many of us were here long before that, its just that the Site has been upgraded a few times since the start, and our Posts had to start all over again.
Doug (Hagar) is probably the longest serving, regular Member here, and was around during "The Strip" days. I followed "The Strip" for a while before registering on the first earliest Forums.
The earliest records are now getting lost in the mists of time!
A couple of our earliest Members are still here, and occasionally pop-up from time-to-time!
Its been a long time, and a big part of my life has been spent here over the years!

Right....I had forgotten all about that. But to be fair, I was just a kid with no job and practically no life. And because I was limited to dialup internet, I sure wasn't going to let several valuable minutes of image load time go to waste...!

the Strip? like stripclub? I didn't knew that one LOL.. my goodness! thanks Pete that change that ugly name
This Forum will have its 10th anniversary this year!
So now I get it ,I began to see the forum when FS2002 was release, the forum was also new like FS2002 ,I was so scared to register and most to post in English
as far I can remember Simv forum was the only one at that time(At least the most friendly and happy ,even the colors were cool ..I try to register in other forum I won't mention but all I can recall was
You have to paid paid paid!!
I used to spend a lot of time just reading the fs2000 and FS2002 things questions answers ( a huge step with the ATC voice )
To Me Simv Forums was the example that latter other sites would follow ,was the first , the best..
I have spend a while looking for these old HTML files that I save many of them just to show the new people how was the very old forum but this is how the forum looked in 2005 which its was about the same in 2003 when I came in (there used to be like a library site that you could actually see old sites like this ,I don't know if it still on the web)
2005
and this was my first success using FS9-SDK ,I made a dummy model with flaps VC spoilers yokes etc , I was so happy that day
I think this post its great thanks to Xpand , it recall us back in the beginning of this wonderful hobby the Flight Simulation in computers,
its is opportunity for some of us to share,Our beginnings like Fozzer's has a wonderful story back in 198? He's being in this a longer time than all of us except Hagar..It would be nice to read it

Thanks for bringing this up Xpand. It begins to look familiar to me in 2008 when I first started downloading planes for my copys of FS2002 & CFS 1.

I suspect that there are many old Fogies, and a few younger Fogies amongst us, who were involved in the early days of Home Computing....
...!
As Alex has recalled, my interest in computers started in the early 1970's with the various Games Consoles, and the first of the Home Computers; Apple IIe, quickly followed by the classic Sinclair (Timex) Z80, Z81 and the wonderful Sinclair Spectrum 48K, and the Commodore C64...Amstrad CPC 464, BBC B.....etc...etc...!
We all spent many hours in each others bedrooms busy typing out various programs on our 8-Bit computers, in BASIC and Machine Code, with amazing results, and learning all the time!
My house is overflowing with all those old Computers and Consoles, and all their mountains of Software and Hardware!
The 8-Bit Computers were followed by the various 16-Bit Computers Atari 1024 and the lovely Amiga 500 and 1200 (which I still run)...
...and then came the 32-Bit PC's...and all our Bedroom programming suddenly came to a standstill with the introduction of "Desktops" with their versions of MS "Windows"...and none of us could program in 32 Bits!...(The addresses are far too long!)...
...
...!
But my love of 8-Bits still carries on today, and I still spend many happy hours programming my Sinclair Spectrum 48K's, C64's, Amstrad 464, etc... etc...JOY!...
....!
The birth of the first 8-Bit Home Computers was a milestone in modern Computing, and fondly remembered by we early programmers!
The name "Fozzersoft" still remains, together with "Microsoft"...
...!

P.S...Uncle Bill was slightly more successful than me!..

Well, the first time I touched a computer was when I was 3, in 1996. All I did was play pacman. I discovered FS around late 2001 through my uncle that had FS2002 installed in his PC. It was love at first sight. I still remember I didn't dare to roll the plane because I had no joystick and the plane just went out of control if I did that. So my flights were always straight ahead!
I started developing around 2004-2005 when I accidentally found gmax on my FS2004 CDs. I still have some of my first oversized planes almost the size of the seattle airport, because I had no idea of what scaling ment!
Simviation dates back to the 2003s when I started downloading planes.
Up is the way to go.
