Off the well well beaten path, and the top of the world. Mount Everest's peak. It's so peacful up here. No other airplane and helicopter engines wailing around you, no ATC driving you all over the place, bo worrying about what gifts to give or what dinner to make for the holidays. Only the small, calming hum of the pitot heat, roter de-ice and the heater.
Not to mention the best view of the sunset in the whole world. I'm in paradise.
Everything is default.

Good shot club!
Top of the world, Ma!
But for me, back to the harsh reality of last minute shopping.
My daughter has taken over my gaming pc anyway with ...aackk...The Sims.
Sadly I had to come to work in order to be here in the SimVForum.

Thanks!
And I feel sorry for you, and I pretty much know how both of those feel. Except I didn't have any other computer with what I wanted on it.
Good luck though!

Great shot club.
I would never have thought of going to Mt. Everest. The limit of my imagination is Austria in a Ju 52 with paratroopers jumping out.

Thanks you two! And you guys had some of the most creative ones I've ever seen for a contest.
The way I got the idea was this:
First I got a Christmas gift that arrived early, an aviation magazine.
I found an article on bush flying, which I used to do in my sim quite regularly, due to how fun and easy I find it landing a cub on a 45* tilted slope bouncing up and down unevenly in less than 500 feet with no power. (Among other crazy stunts)
So I decided to take another go and get back into the back seat. First flight I did was a loop around Brave, Alaska, to land on a very thin, steep uphill and rugged ledge about 10ft wide sandwiched between a road and a 500ft drop into a lake.
Then I tried to think of an even more difficult placce to land, for example, a pinpoint landing with a less than 200ft. runway in harsh winds and with very minimal power. That location turned out to be Mount Everest.

Cool shot, Club.........love the sunset
.........or sunrise??
"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.
