The old Sim V Café, (when it existed separate to General Discussion), was place where we Sim V Oldies could pop into, and have a laugh and a joke, discuss the latest news, and recall Old Times, whilst enjoying a nice egg and bacon breakfast with a hot cup of Tea...>>>

Well, you know.  The Mystery Ship is pretty much DOA.  It was pretty nice while it lasted, but the project just kept getting bigger and bigger and got out of control.  The pilot was the death knell.  If someone wants to pick it up, they're welcome to try to figure my mess out.

Paul, I'll take those Bangers (correct?) if you don't mind.  They look delicious.

LOTS of changes from what I see, but it still seems like the same old place.

Ah!  Why did they get rid of it?  It sounds like a pretty interesting place!
Now that seems like quite an interesting site there!  I'll have to check that out in the morning!

That's a shame. I was actually referring to the full-sized replica I mentioned being built over here. After posting my reply I checked & found out it's not a replica but a genuine Mystery Ship being fully restored to airworthy condition. Unfortunately it looks like I shall never get to see it. http://panchobarnesfilm.com/film/production-journal.html

Yeah, it's kind of a toss up.  They look to have done a fantastic job on the restoration, but that plane belongs in an American museum (preferably the Smithsonian), not in some collectors private hangar where it'll never be seen.  As much as I would love to see her flying again, it's too valuable of a historic resource to risk crashing and being totaled.

I agree up to a point. Perhaps it belongs in America where it was built. The owner is American so that might still happen. I know the man responsible for the restoration & he will have done a first-class job. It makes no sense spending all that time & money making it airworthy if it will never fly again. Like all rare historic aircraft I would rather see it in the air where it belongs than gathering dust as a static exhibit in a museum.
