I have had problems with Yahoo mail the past few days...

I have a wireless adapter for my desktop computer,and it disconnects it self when ever I'm on my Yahoo mail for some reason(and I have tried 2 adapters)I really don't know why either.I got full bars to the Wireless router.Any Help?

Two seperate issues.

@X_Dude: Is your router or access point using an encrypted signal, or is the connection completely open? (i.e. did you need a WEP key to access the the router or access point when you set up the wireless adapters?)

@Club: Whoever's account those emails came from, likely clicked on a link in an email sent to him, or more likely, that was posted on a site like Facebook. The action of clicking on that link has allowed access to his email account and contact list by a third party spamming program. The result of which, is that emails are being sent out from his account without his knowledge. This kind of thing propagates by someone thinking they received an email from him, trusting it, opening it, then clicking on the link too. Now their account and contact list has also been compromised. Both my cousin and niece were hit by a similar attack. As big of a pain as it would be, the best way to cancel it's effects would be to close his account and create a new one.

I'm awfull at hardware, but here's an idea I've thought of.
How does your adapter handle real-time wi-fi things?  As in things that you don't really have to do anything for something to appear.  I know that yahoo mail trys to do some real-time things like the chat function.  It may be something like it just can't handle that.

I hate Routers, and treat them like the Plague.
They can create all sorts of problems with "Port" issues, especially when trying to play on-line.

I abandoned their use many years ago, and as I only have one computer, and I am the only one who uses it, I connect directly to the Internet via a cheap, simple, ADSL Wired Modem, and no Port or connection problems with on-line gaming, etc!

I like simplicity!... ...!

Receiving emails with the sender line showing the full name of a known friend, but the emails are actually, in my case, weight loss adverts. 

This has happened only a few times in the past few months, with two different known friends.   

I've blocked both senders' names as I don't really need to be in touch with them.

Interestingly enough, both of these two friends, several years ago, were themselves propagating weird stuff, not adverts, just political things, but annoying anyway, why put up with it.

I blocked them at that time, but recently unblocked, that's when these weightloss things started.

This also happened with someone that I am in close touch with, I spoke to her about it, she said that someone hacked her email, she closed that email out.

It got worse!!!!! I can't even go another sites because of it I have to use my friends laptop.It connects and disconnects even if my internet isn't even up.




Its got a mind of its own.
