Please tell me those external pods are not for carrying wounded...!  Shocked

This was actually tried a long time ago ( I think the RAF experimented with modified drop tanks, but can't find an online reference)... must have been much more unpleasant than being strapped to a stretcher on the skids of a Bell 47.
