hello: I downloaded a A10thunderbolt  fsx A10version 1.0 thats the name of the file. I extracted all files and then click on the purple hard drive and open it it says that I need to create a new  directory folder do not understand this how would I do that? and then move all the folders into the new directory folder and place in the fsx program what?? what happen just to open the extraced folder and copy and paste into the planes folder of fsx and thats it.

all I want to do is to put this A10 thunderbolt into fsxs and fly it.  ( I seem to forgot how to put the planes into the planes folder in fsx if someone can someone explain this to me again. all I want to do is to take the A10 folder  extyract all then take the new folder  and put that into the planes section of fsx and fly.

Create a new folder on your desktop (right click anywhere) and tell the installer to install it there.
Then take the individual folders and put them where they go........usually there will be Effects, Gauges and the Model......probably called A-10 or something similiar.

They go in the Program files/Microsoft Games/Flight Simulator X folder Smiley

Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

If it's an installer, create a folder on your desktop and "install" to that folder.  During the installation process, you will be prompted on where you want the files installed.  Use the "Browse" button to locate the folder on your desktop, and install it there.  Then you should be able to install the contents of that folder like any other aircraft.

Yes.  If it has any other folders, like one for "effects" or "gauges", the contents of the effects folders would go into the FSX\effects folder, and the same for the contents of a "Gauge" folder, if it has one, though some time people will dump the contents of the addon gauge folder into the aircraft panel folder. That saves time if you have gauges that are not FSX compatable.
