I seem to recall another thread of this nature, but darned if I can't find it. I have a CV440 that was made for FS2004 and upgraded to work with FSX. When flying the props seem to vanish with clouds in the background but appear fine with blue sky, the ground or aircraft as background.

Does anyone recall if there was a fix for that? I have the FSX Gold pack with all the updates and such.

The only fix I ever heard of was to alter the alpha chanel of the prop texture so that it's much lighter, so you don't notice them disappearing as much.

Yep.  That should work.  Matter of fact I'm working on trying to figure out some nutty rough edges on the roters of a paint, so I'll see how that goes and try to help some more. Wink
