Hi all,

On startup I've suddenly starting getting this message:
addon scenery/scenery=area.115 is missing.

I've looked in the scenery config and area.115 is reno, I've looked in scenery/cities/reno and i have both scenery and textures folder.
I cannot find a addon scenery folder anywhere on the computer, this was suddenly and instantly after installing an aircraft which doesn't make sense.

And: area.115 is not addon scenery so whats its going on about, area.120 appears to entry for addon scenery

I feel a repair install coming, i cannot find addon scenery folder in fsx root like there is in fs9, incidently, the 2nd line in scenery.cfg in the fsx root  says Title=fs9 world scenery ??

anybody any ideas.
I've manualy created the folders which has cleared the problem ,. but what caused it?

regards
Steve

Somehow the Addon Scenery folder was deleted, either by you or an addon installer/un-installer.

BTW FSX does not use the scenery.cfg in the main FSX folder.

The location of the working scenery.cfg depends on your OS.

It should be in the same location as your FSX.cfg, except under all users, not yourname Edited:
if you have Win XP. Win 7 will place the working scenery.cfg at C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX

cheers,
Joe
