If this weren't a real life incidence, I'd put this in the joke forum because it's so funny.
I bet that curb was wicked high!
"I have a place where dreams are born, And time is never planned. It’s not on any chart, You must find it with your heart."
Albert Einstein - "Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe."
Martin Luther King Jr. - “Nothing in the world is more dangerous than a sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.”
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe - “There is nothing worse than aggressive stupidity.”
Mark Twain - “Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.”

The article didn't say whether or not the po-po's took either the curb or the street in for questioning...
Maybe Mr. Jackson will ID either the curb or the street in a line-up... when he gets out of the hospital, that is.
One Marine to the other --
"Man, did you see that curb? It just raised up and put a whoopin' on that guy!"
"Yeah, and did you see the street? It rolled up and finished him off!"

I'm wondering if multiple kerb stones jumped from their resting places and rained down justice upon the miscreant along with their not insignificant weight and sharp bits

Marine: Yea officer, you should have seen it, that curb just kept smacking him in the face and it picked him up and body slammed him, it was wild.
Officer: Yes sir, our curbs are known for their belligerent behavior.
Personally speaking, I got beat up by my entertainment center a few months back. Darn thing sat there for a good 20 years and all of a sudden just bitch slapped me. I put up a valiant defense. My wife says I got my a$$ kicked....lol
I think the darn thing had been watching to much karate on TV myself....lmao

I think that he kept on trying to get up and was repeatedly falling off the curb.

If the curb was damp or a patch of moss was growing, it could make it very slippery. Also if an inconsiderate dog owner has just passed................

........I'll bet they had to shovel him into the back of the meat wagon.....
"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"
