Orbx has just released a BETA version APP, Day/Night texture swapper. If you like to fly durring the day, for some reason FSX still turns on all the NIGHT LIGHTS, but no longer, you can turn them off. ........... If you like flying at night, turn em back on.

Just tried it out on the PNW demo, I got a 15-20FPS increase - after turning my settings backup it went back to what it use to be with settings turned down (a smooth 30).
