Good morning all... Smiley

Well the old girl and three other nattering nannies are off to church and I asked her to put in a good word for me about getting my "Splash and Dash" to look right.

I think she forgot as it still does not look right... Roll Eyes

I did what you suggested Bob but still do not see:
---much of a Splash when touching down
---does not look at all like a float, seaplane or amphibian
touch and go on the water
---changed the water settings in FS Water Configurator
    several times
---changed approach speed several times to see if that
    would make a difference...

I am wondering if FSX is only recognising the Cameron Hot Air Balloon as a Land Use Only Aircraft?

Not sure why it would do that though.

Here are some of the best shots I could get as when I took off from the Water Aerodrome Runway the balloon just sat on top of the water like it would on a land runway.

FSX and Windows 7
FS Water Configurator...changed settings several times
                                ...FSX Default, Glassy Water
                                   Inland Rough,  etc.
HDE Clouds
Season:  Fall and early morning
Aircraft:  Cameron Hot Air Balloon "REMAX" Livery

All Freeware right here at the Simviation Download Site... Smiley

Approach
...

Climb as seaplane is getting ready to start...
...

SPLASH
Can hardly see a ripple...
...

DASH
Not sure if any water droplets are falling off basket or not...
Climbing like a herd of turtles... Grin
...

SPLASH
FS Water Configurator Textures Changed along with speed...
...

DASH
...

Comments and Advice most welcome... Wink

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Try converting it to a floatplane balloon. Edit the Aircraft.cfg contact points section & change the Class of point.0, 1 & 2 from 1 (wheel) to 4 (float).

I'm not sure what it should look like but, how's this?

I used the contact points from B.O.B. (slightly modified) and the wake/splash effect from the OzX Goose Redux. I'll send you the files for this if you want Doug Smiley

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"
