Greetings to you all.  Wink

Am AbzWayne, I hail from Aberdeen, Scotland and am totally aff ma heid!

Ok, so properly am Wayne (ye might have guessed that), kinda new to flight sims ( have dabbled in the past, but never really took it seriously enough to buy a joystick ) and I have just ordered FSX and a Logic 3 PC PRO Flight 2.

Now to begin with, my current PC is not gonna be up to much at all, so am gonna take it slowly, and just learn as I go.

Always been fascinated with planes, ever since I saw a F1-11 fly overhead ( during the Falklands conflict ) and my current Fav plane to view  ( on youtube ) is the Challenger 2 Light Sports / Pusher ... Plz do not ask me why, it just seems to tick all the boxes for me and I can easily re-watch youtube videos of it all day long  Smiley

Other than that, am not really an active person, body cant handle it now, but I still get by. Spend a fair amount of my time at home, fixing other folks PC's for em and stuff like that to fill in the time while I wait on job applications to get refused!

Hope to get into the Flight Sim mentality a little bit, but will restrict myself to being that keen old git fae Aberdeen for the now.

So to sum it all up, am a Scotsman called Wayne, Aged 40 and keen to learn... So there ye all go, a glimpse into me.

PS: Yes I am aware that some of my words are not proper, but I kinda type the way I speak, if there is anyone that can not understand anything I have typed or even just wants clarification, Please feel free to ask me as it is nae bother at aw ( no bother at all ).

Peace

Greetings and salutations Wayne!  I salute you for typing the way you speak.  Samuel Clemens (better known as Mark Twain) wrote in several different American southern dialects in his book 'The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn'.  Whoopee, right? Smiley

As in the making of a great din?

I've applied a fake brogue to some Gaelic related songs but the actual linguistics are lost to my generation. Although my surname is thought to be English, the expedition to the New World actually set out from the Isle of Mann; I first thought 'twas a mixup with the McCormick [sp] entry (she eloped with my Native American great-grandfather) but my surname also sported a tartan, evidently associated with MacDonalds. As to my mother, her maiden name exceeded both Irish and Caledonian southern borders of Dalriada, considering themselves Scot-Irish. Nevertheless, as long as what you type is close to Modern English, I may suffice without a translator.

Cool

Americans are (myself included) the mutts of the world.  I am proud of my heritage (Scottish, English, and French) but when it comes down to it I am none of the above.  I am
(insert drum roll here)... American. Wink Cool Smiley
