I did this with the carrier stopped because FSRecorder doesn't replay right if the carrier is in motion (and I can't shoot on the fly). Lockheed Martin C-130E making an off-shore rendezvous.....loaded with pilots and crew, six SEALS and their gear.....25% fuel.
Around 95 knots IAS.....about to reduce throttle to idle....and get a good grip on the seat cushion (while keeping both hands on the yoke)
Contact......full reverse......and stand on the brakes.....
The FA-18s on the deck just fit under the wings ( a carrier is a lot wider than I used to think, big airplane, less than "on center" landing).....and the deck crew are brave men indeed....I would duck if I saw this coming
No one even wet themselves this time......
Thanks 4 looking
"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

Wow chuck
.
GREAT
shots as usual. Is that the captsim Hercules?
And fox three which plane are you talking about from which author?
Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

Nice landing! By the way, reminds me of the modified C-130 that was going to be used in the Iranian hostage rescue (Operation Eagle Claw)
