Shots from a flight to Baker Lake from Omak (KOMK)
The North Cascades are a section of the Cascade Range of western North America. They span the border between the Canadian province of British Columbia and the U.S. state of Washington and are officially named in Canada as the Cascade Mountains. They are predominantly non-volcanic, but include the stratovolcanoes Mount Baker, Glacier Peak and Coquihalla Mountain, which are part of the Cascade Volcanic Arc. The portion in Canada is known as the Canadian Cascades, a designation that also includes the mountains above the east bank of the Fraser Canyon as far north as the town of Lytton, at the confluence of the Thompson and Fraser Rivers.
The US portion of the North Cascades and the adjoining Skagit Range in British Columbia are most notable for their dramatic scenery and challenging mountaineering, both resulting from their steep, rugged topography. While most of the peaks are under 10,000 feet (3,000 m) in elevation, the low valleys provide great local relief, often over 6,000 feet (1,800 m). The summits of the rest of the Canadian Cascades are not glaciated in the same way and feature rock "horns" rising from plateau-like uplands, with the Manning Park and Cathedral Park areas known for their extensive alpine meadows, as is also the case with the eastern flank of the US portion of the range.

Past the foothills.....
Into the mountains.....
Not the kind of terrain you want to have an engine failure over.....
Mt. Baker in the distance.....
Beginning my approach......
Touching down on Baker Lake......

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

I have difficulty seeing due to the massive floppy pink appendage growing out of my forehead and flopping in front of my eyes!

Thanks for the tip Chuck but I don't think I have frame rate problem, my planes show crisp and clear, it's my background setting that suck, I've tried all kinds of combination of scenery settings and I still have no luck with my scenery's looking more real....

Wonderful shots Chuck.
Reminds me of that video I just watched, 60° North at 500 feet. It also makes me really wish my sim was working.
If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.
