Main server not accessible due to unknown problem.

Right now the guys are working on it.

Great timing (not) as I have been away for past 24 hrs and typiong this from an internet cafe.

But please be assured things will be up and running soon - the guys are working on restoring service ASAP

Apologies for the downtime

Update:

OK this happened at a BAD time. A rare weekend away with only limited internet connection. (back now)

On top of this our server hosting only offer skeletal support on weekends.

They did attach a repair gizmo to the server so we could bring it back on but now it seems they have fitted it to the wrong unit.

So Now I am waiting until 8AM EST until they can get another guy out there to hopefully attach it to the correct unit.

Will keep you posted.

OK finally after a lot of work it is now back online.
(I have been stressed out)

A few tweaks still necessary.

Now investigating to try to find out why the main server crashed.

Apologies to all.

Pete,

Your dedication to SimV is awesome.......... but there is never any need to apologize for these kind of things.  Comes under the category of "^&%$ happens."

Hi

We did have a server issue yesterday thanks to an invasive bot which crashed the whole site and then  caused various problems ... however it should all be working OK again now.

I need to think of where best to report this bot 80legs.com

These guys should not be allowed to function.
