This may be an odd 1st post, but I was wondering how many people here have been to the Boeing Assembly Plant in Everrett, Washington, USA?

I went on a fabulous trip to Seattle last month, and had to see this place.

In a word... big Tongue

I would like to go, so I can beat a few of them around the head with a blunt object and get them to increase the quality of their product Angry
I spent quite a bit of time last week trying to find out why a brand new aircraft had an INOP center tank pump. After going through the fault isolation manual and finding that nothing worked, we deiced to go our own way. You would never guess what we found. The controlling relay was burnt out. Not a biggy I hear you say, it can happen and yes I agree, but the relay that had been fitted was 5 amps below rating and when we checked the part catalog, we found out it was a cabin lights control relay Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes.............TWA 800.......
And that is just to mention a few things as of late. The saying, if its not Boeing I am not going, if you only knew Grin Grin Grin

Um... this was about the factory not some internet guy (Worst. Controlling relay. Ever.) finding a few faults on a 2 million part plane (or however many it is).

Tbh I'm still awestruck that they can build somthing that big and have it even move. :p
