Captain Sim 757 I really want it BUT!! (Read 953 times)

I really want the Captain Sim 757 it's amazing. But I have tried the demo and it brings my frame rates down to around 13fps.

Has anybody got experiences with the full version of the 757?

Do the patches improve frame rates at all?

Does any one have a an idea of what the minimum system specs you need to run it at around 20 fps comfortably.

Sadly I'm running FSX on a Dell Laptop. It has a i3 M370 and a ATI Radeon 5650 graphics card with 1GB of dedicated graphics memory and 3GB of RAM.

If someone has similar specs to me and has used payware aircraft successfully let me know which they are so I can check them out please!

Thanks! Wink

You may also do some research on the Quality Wings 757.

I'd prolly buy the QW757 instead of the CS757 since my major concern is performance.

Flying Mouse is right. I have both the Captain Sim 757 and the Quality Wings 757. I like the QW 757 more simply because there are many more variations, and Frame Rate wise, the QW 757 is much better. The Captain Sim 757 is nice, but it has some bugs that really need to be fixed, plus the frame rates drop by a fair amount. Conclusion, if I were you, I'd go with the Quality Wings 757.

Thanks guys! I totally over looked the Quality Wings 757. Is the FMC functionality as sophisticated as the CS version?
If it is then it seems like the perfect choice!

I stand correct the FMC is not as complex as the CS757 but still great.

Please do share your experience with us. I am also at 99% point to purchase the QW757.

PS: The US PC Aviator store mostly has 10% discount on Tuesdays. May want to use that opportunity to get it for a discounted price from them.

Right I now own the QW757 and first things first I took of from EGCC using Traffic X and UK2000 Scenery for EGCC my frame rates dropped alot but not enough to cause any real annoyance, once i was up to 5000ft it was sitting happily at around 20fps which is about normal for me.

The next thing I will say is reading the instruction manual would be advised. I tried a quick flight from Manchester,England to Leeds, England about 5min flight. Due to me thinking I understood the FMC with out reading the instructions I ended up in Scotland where I eventually had to totally disengage the autopilot and land at the first airport I could find in order to figure out what on earth was going on!
That said flying it was a joy it sounds incredible looks great and flies like a dream. First impression are great! I'd recommend it so far. Time to go read the manual!
