As per NickN...

Nhancer 2.5.9 will not star or run with the 257.15 or the 257.21 drivers installed!

*** First, Un-install Enhancer***

Here are the files and instructions to enable the Nhancer settings typically used to control image quality and shimmer in FS9 and FSX and get AA working right.

1. Download the following files for "Nvidia GForce SLI profile tool.exe" for the 257.15 drivers or above HERE:
http://www.geeks3d.com/20100528/manage-your-sli-profiles-with-nvidia-geforce-sli...

2. Below are 3 profile zips. They are made for both FS9 and FSX and use the Override function. They are named based on the AA level they set. The first one "C8xS.zip" is the one that I use. It is a good one to start off with.

http://gex.flight1.net/NVIDIA_Profiles_C8xS.zip

http://gex.flight1.net/NVIDIA_Profiles_C8xQ.zip

http://gex.flight1.net/NVIDIA_Profiles_C16xS.zip

Download and unzip the contents.

3. RUN: the downloaded Geforce_SLI_Profile_Tool.exe
First step is to backup the original profiles so you can restore them at any time you wish.
In Geforce_SLI_Profile_Tool select to EXPORT SLI PROFILES. Name the file NVIDIA Profiles Default.txt

Next, select IMPORT SLI PROFILES and browse the tool to the unzipped NVIDIA Profiles XXX.txt

That's it! The tool will tell you: SUCCESS:
NVIDIA SLI profiles imported from XXXXX\NVIDIA_Profiles_CXxX.txt

===============================================

NOTE:
There are some reports that importing the profiles I posted results in a FAILURE message. I have tried to duplicate this issue here several times and can not get the import to fail. What ever is causing this problem its not wide-spread but it has been seen more than once.
If you receive the FAIL message on profile import, do the following;

1. Save a copy of the EXPORTED profiles you made in a safe place, then open the original in notepad.
2. Open the profile you wish to import in notepad, on the EDIT menu, "SELECT ALL" and then right click, select to COPY the entire contents
3. Go to the EXPORTED original profiles you have open in notepad, on the EDIT menu, "SELECT ALL" and then right click and PASTE which will overwrite the original profiles with the copied version.
4. Save (close) the new edited exported profiles list and then import that file

=======================================================

4.Close the Geforce_SLI_Profile_Tool
If you wish to restore the original profiles, simply rerun the SLI profile tool and import the BACKUP you made.

Also, if you use other games you must set up their profiles manually because with this hack they will all follow the global profile in the CP unless you change the GAME profile to your specific needs. Altering other game profiles should not effect the global or FSX profile however as mentioned there are bugs in this new CP that Nvidia is working on to correct

5. Open FS9/FSX. Go to the GRAPHICS SETTINGS tab and make sure to set FILTERING to TRILINEAR.
NOTE: With the new profiles posted above and the 257.21 WHQL release drivers the full override function now works. This means you should UNCHECK the AA box in FS9 and FSX.

You are now running the settings I post for Nhancer use and FSX in the FSX tuning thread. The settings will remove shimmering and present the best trade between performance and image quality in FSX.

=======================================================

Last Recommendation
Once you have done the above, the only other tweak I would suggest is the following:
In the FSX CFG File under [DISPLAY] ad the following line...

TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=80

Actually using the Nvidia profiles has also gone by the wayside.

NickN and most everyone else is now using NvidiaInspector.
