Hi everyone

This is not really a request for a model as I pretty much think I have what I need, but a suevey to see If I made the right choices.

I'm working on a machinima of an old Doc Savage novel. The first 6 chapters went well, taking place in New York, but after that there's a lot of flying going on. I've picked out the planes I think would fit the description of the novel and what's available, but let's see ig you guys agree.

The novel is a pulp written and taking place in 1938. The characters head to North Beach Airport in Long Island in the morning. A all metal tri-motor is waiting to take off and start their journey. It's stated as being 5 years old.

The plane lifts in the air, reaches a crusing height and blows up. The heroes are safe though, being in another plane and controlling the first by remote control.

The second plane is descrbed as being a trimotor also, but with engines built into "eggs" on the wings, and with the wings built low instead of on top amd with retractable landing gear.

A little later, after an autogyro is stolen, Doc goes to a military base and borrows a pursuit plane.

After getting the autogyro back, Doc flies his plane to Miami and gets pontoons put on it.

After lasnding to refuel in Belize, they are attacked by a single engine mono plane. Taking care of that, they continue on a make a lake landing in the jungles of south Central America. That's about it for the flying in the novel.

These are my picks for planes to use.

Older plane - Ford Trimotor

Newer plane - Junkers Ju 52, normal and float versions available

Pursuit plane - Boeing P-26 . The hardback has a picture that looks almost exactly like it.

Enemy plane - Ryan NYP

So , Any opinions, anything that might be a better choice?

Any input appreciated and thanks.
