To be completely honest, i had been trying the FSX Accelleration mission involving intercepting the UFO, didn't bother watching the video, and ended up chasing that thing thinking THIS beheamoth was the UFO!   All I can say is, thank goodness I had checked the Unlimited Fuel Supply in the realism settings, I had to light full afterburner the whole way to catch up to it!  And even then I ran out of fuel before I caught up to it!
It had probably been going about 1,500 KIAS until it ascended to about 37,000 ft, where due to the high altitudes we both ended up having a maximum manuevering speed of about 100 KIAS.  Up there, my stall speed was approximatley 57 KIAS, and once you slow down, it's difficult to get any kind of speed, even with full afterburner.  I had that puppy lit the whole time to even stay in the air!

But you have to admit, if it WERE landable, it would take aircraft carrier landings to a COMPLETELY diffrent level.  ESPECIALLY with those big spikes in you're way on each end.

But I would advice you to try the sludge hornet .
Or if you want a challenge Just change the mission.flt to an sr-71.
