I decided that I'd do a nice, non-stop trip around the United States in a 737-400, stopping in every state.  This is the very first stage: Florida to Georgia at exactly midnight.  In a major thunderstorm that's only getting worse.

Taking off
...

See ya next time Orlando!  I'll be back in a day or two!
...

Above 10,000 ft, above the clouds.
...

At my cruising altitude of 18,000 ft.  Escaped the clouds pretty well, but amazingly, still not the winds and turbulence of the storm.  Time to turn on the autopilot and sit back.
...

Well, we're getting slightly near Atlanta, time to disengage autopilot and descend.
http://www.simviation.com/phpupload/uploads/1314871422.jpg

About to go below 10,000 ft.  Time to prepare to turn on the landing lights and slow down to below 250 KIAS.
http://www.simviation.com/phpupload/uploads/1314810265.jpg

Heeeellllllloooooo Atlanta! Grin
You sure do have long approaches here. Shocked I'm still halfway between the state line and the airport and I'm already on approach and level at 6,000 ft!
http://www.simviation.com/phpupload/uploads/1314896852.jpg

Well, came in extremely high and about 50 KIAS faster than I should have, the winds have only gotten much worse, but I still made a perfect touchdown exactly the way I should have!  Am I skilled or what? Wink Grin
http://www.simviation.com/phpupload/uploads/1314839847.jpg

Well, like I said, only gotten worse.
http://www.simviation.com/phpupload/uploads/1314859331.jpg

Parked at the gate.  Time to drop these guys off and pick up guys for North Carolina!
http://www.simviation.com/phpupload/uploads/1314819415.jpg

More coming soon! Wink

I think you retracted the gear a little too late. You actually are supposed to retract after your plane starts a positive rate of climb of 500FPM. But your shots are cool. Cool. Someday when I get a better Computer and Internet speed It would be fun to do A Trip round the world Tongue

Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

Thanks!

Actually, I wasn't too far up.  It was just the angle that makes it look like I'm far up.  I actually started retracting right when the picture was taken.  let me get the phot from a diffrent angle so I can show you.  Hold on a sec.

Here we go, and like I said, I just started to put my gear up when I took the pic, and my vertical speed indicator was actually just starting to cross 500.  So it was actually on schedule.  here's a picture from the exact same moment, from a diffrent angle.

Trust me, It's the exact same moment.  I always save my flight at the exact moment I take a pic. Wink

Actually, for some reason, my coputor just loves FS9, but just plain hates FSX.
And also, I think I take off diffrently than most people.  When I take off, right when I hit V2, I suddenly pitch up to about 20-15*, then, I pitch back down to about 12-10* pitch up.  I know it's not the right way, but it works for me.

Bah!  i'm not even old enough to get a regular pilot's liscence!  Especially not a liscence for a 747-400! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
My takeoffs can be a bit bumpy, but for some reason, even in some of the very hardest conditions, I always seem to bring those big ol' Boeings down in a nice, perfectly smooth landing.  I honestly have no clue why.

So when You are doing one of those "Shared skies" Things in fsx you give your partners control for take off and then Pilot it for the rest of the journey Grin

Actually, no.  I've never done multiplayer in FSX.  I've done it once in FS2004, but that was to do a dogfight with one of my testers. Tongue
