Saw deadmau5 live last night, it was incredible! Such a great show, but now I can't hear anything.

Geez. You don't have to post so loudly

Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

Yikes. I saw a concert on tv today, I have great hearing skills but I could not hear any lyrics. All I could do is listen to the beat and imagine the tune
.

Loudest band in the world
Quote:
On July 15, 2009, in Ottawa, Canada, the band KISS achieved a SPL of 136 dB measured during their live performance (not the sound check). After noise complaints from neighbors in the area, the band was forced to turn the volume down.
Pete Townshend is deaf
Quote:
Pete Townshend suffers from partial deafness and tinnitus believed to be the result of noise-induced hearing loss; in other words, his extensive exposure to loud music. Some such incidents include a Who concert at the Charlton Athletic Football Club, London, on 31 May 1976 that was listed as the "Loudest Concert Ever" by the Guinness Book of Records, where the volume level was measured at 126 decibels 32 metres from the stage. Townshend has also attributed the start of his hearing loss to Keith Moon's famous exploding drum set during The Who's 1967 appearance on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour ...
In March 2011, Roger Daltrey said in an interview with the BBC that Townshend had recently experienced gradual but severe hearing loss and was now trying to save what remained of his hearing.
"Pete's having terrible trouble with his hearing. He's got really, really bad problems with it...not tinnitus, it's deterioration and he's seriously now worried about actually losing his hearing."

I've stood right next to a probably 8'x10' speaker stack while the sound crew were doing sound checks.
Very loud!
