Their new Harrier is very well detailed for freeware inside and out I will say that much, but she's a hand full to control in flight, soon as you start to rotate the nozzles all hell breaks out lol! Tongue

Isn't it payware? You might be talking about the donationware UKMIL one  Undecided please Correct me If I'm wrong Wink

Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

The one I have is the Iris Harrier GR.7 & 9 and this is a freeware one, it's very well detailed but I hate how it flys....

Well she's already a fairly good stol aircraft patchz, but I'll pass that request on the vtol to the designer and see what he says, personally I've have yet to see any vtol aircraft in FSX work correctly, I have the Isis Harrier and that thing wont take off straight up, I have a payware 22B Osprey and it don't take off straight up either even though in real life both these aircraft can raise straight up ..... Huh

Wilco Publishing has got it mostly figured out.......I have their Tilt Rotor, it does fairly well. It kind of picks up off of the ground funny.......but the transition is pretty smooth. I don't have their new Harrier, but I hear it's awesome Cool Cool

Chuck is Wilco Publishing a payware company and do you have a link I can check out the site? Cool

Here's a couple of links for their
Tilt Rotor
and
Harrier
though Smiley

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

Wow! These are both really nice on the detail touch, not bad for only 25 bucks and you say they fly correctly? Cool

I can't say "correctly" because I've never even been in either of these aircraft in the real world Smiley

I don't have the Harrier, but the Tilt Rotor has the best VTOL dynamics of anything I've flown in FSX Smiley

Ok I got ya, yeah pretty much anything in FSX claiming to be a VTOL aircraft other than true helicopters I've flown on the freeware side suck, I would just hate to shell out 25 bucks and these fly like crap, but if you say the Tilt is nice then I trust your opinion, I just happen to be a former U.S. Marine and I just love the Harrier's but haven't found one out there worth squat, this one I have now is pretty close on the detail to this paywear one but it's too stinking hard to control Sad

That may have something to do with inop lights, but I'm not sure.

BTW, looks like were in the same 'hood!  I'm a few dozen miles NW of KSTL.

Chuck thanks for the info on Wilco Publishing, they look like they got better product for the money than Iris, I don't trust Iris anymore anyway, it's like buying a Porsche with a lawn mower motor in it fooling with them folks at Iris, they stuff looks best sitting still! LOL! Grin
