I fight fires for a living, but on the ground or something from a ladder. I've never done it inside a cockpit, so I figured I'd give it a go. Enjoy!

Cool shots Pierre
I noticed that you were in Eastern Washington....near Grand Coulee Dam.
I work on a Type 5 wildland fire engine. Normally in the summers we're up to our eyeballs in wild fires around here.....the last two years have been pretty quiet though
The SEAT plane for the region is based at our local airport (KOMK)...as is a UH-1 with a bambi bucket
"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

Great shots Pierre. Love #1 & #3.
If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Thanks guys for the comments!
Chuck, you aced that location quickly
In my neck of the woods we've been pretty busy with wildland fires this season... Texas had some major fires going a couple of months ago, I deployed a few times. As far as the city I work for, with the 100+ temperatures going forever now it seems like we get a wildfire every day... on top of all the other calls... I sure can't wait for some rain and cooler temperatures

.....It's my back yard
Our summer has been cool and rainy.......very strange. No fires for me this year

I did not realize there were so many other firefighters on the forum.
I am an airport firefighter by day, and a volunteer in my town by night.

My father was on the firecrews in the RAF in the sixties, Cyprus, Libya, Coningsby and Binbrook. Does that make me a firefighters son??

Nice shots!!!
Which plane is that? It looks funny
Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

This plane is the Air Tractor. There is a package available on SimV if you look for it. Cool little aircraft.
Being a fireman is pretty cool, I work 24hrs on and I'm off for 48 hours. Gives me time for flight simming

How's the pay? Tell me more, I'm interested
.
+ you get to drive around in a cool red firetruck and if you switch on the siren, There is no speed limit and everyone gets out of your way.
And you get a medal for Walking into a burning building.
But I really appreciate what firemen do for us And it seems the British government wants to reward you with an
Awesome new fire engine

Good luck getting people out of the way, most ignore or don't notice the lights and sirens. And firefighters don't often get medals for doing their job.

He's right. No medals, just burns and stories. And people DO NOT get out of your way. They're too busy on their cell phones. It's a hard living, my body hurts, but there's nothing else I'd rather do
What can I say, I'm an adrenalin junkie
