I guess the Iranian f-14's could smack the 747(s?) Out of the sky with 2 phoenixes. But as usual chuck your shots are Ice cold and lava hot all at once Cool

Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

An interesting incident....courtesy of Wikipedia:
Air Force One usually does not have fighter aircraft to escort the presidential aircraft over the United States, but this has occurred. In June 1974, while President Nixon was on his way to a scheduled stop in Syria, Syrian fighter jets intercepted Air Force One to act as escorts. However, the Air Force One crew was not informed in advance and, as a result, took evasive action including a dive Shocked Shocked

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

I said it could fend for itself.  Those pilots are lucky they didn't get blasted out of the sky! Shocked

I know it has chaff, flares, and advanced ECM gear, but I doubt the thing is stuffed with AIM-9s.
Possibly an EMP or DEW, something along those lines are likely the parts of AF1s systems the crew will not talk about.

Great shots btw!!! Wink

Thanks Raptor,
I agree.....probably has a lot of defensive capability, but I don't think it's going to enter the merge with a fighter Wink
