Edwards AFB.
It is named in memory of U.S. Air Force test pilot Glen Edwards who died while testing the YB-49 Flying Wing.
this picture was taken by a NASA F/A 18 hornet while doing research on high angles of attack.
made in fsx.
sorry that i dont say much on the forum but i am not realy a talker.
but great shots everyone else and i wish you all best of luck in this contest.

I think it was more of a design flaw with the aircraft that caused it to crash.

Don't quote me.......But, I think he entered the flying wing into a stall and could not recover due to the aircraft's then strange design and lack of computer management systems:-/
"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

Edwards itself is a landmark with the loooong runway. and then you have Rogers Dry Lake
. Awesome
Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

Very nice. Good luck in the contest.
If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.
