No it's not a typo. Airbourne is the four-day seafront air show at Eastbourne. It's been very windy for the whole four days. Thursday was a washout & today was the best day for sunshine.

Many of the display aircraft are based at Shoreham Airport during the show. Here's a few shots from the last three days to give you the flavour.

Ozzy's Spitfire in its new markings.

...

Peter Teichman's Hurri-bomber
...

& Jumpin' Jacques
...

Up close & personal. This is what I like about Shoreham. In the old days there was no fence.
...

...

RAFA show next weekend. Hope the weather cooperates.

Nice shots Doug especially when you consider that grey clouds are the worst possible background to take the shots against  Shocked

Just noticed in picture 5, have you been playing with photo shopping Doug. That GA aircraft in the background is looking a bit suspicious. It is just sort of hovering without any shadow Huh Huh Grin Grin

You should know I don't do things like that Matt. It would have been a better shot without pesky Cherokee in the background so if anything I would have Photoshopped it out. Tongue Wink

Of course I know better Doug. It just looks a bit odd with no shadow under it. Made me think of the Chinese gentlemen hovering over the road as they inspected it  Grin

If memory serves me correctly the Cherokee was actually landing & is still several feet in the air. There is a faint shadow on the grass but not where you might expect to see it. I thought about editing the Cherokee out before posting the pic & decided against it as the Spit had been holding waiting for it to land. However, now it's been pointed out I've removed it.

Is this better? Smiley http://www.simviation.com/phpupload/uploads/1313558047.jpg

The shot of the Hurri bomber is excellent, my favorite!
As far as the Spit, was the second cockpit for training purposes or did they just add it to take tourists up in the air?
