Especially if it is a £1 coin and you're near a bus....
A 17-year-old arrested for throwing a £1 coin at a bus door is considerably worse off after being fined £335.22.
The teenager, from Loughton, Essex, was charged with causing criminal damage to a bus in Loughton High Road on August 8.
He appeared before magistrates in Chelmsford, and was handed a six-month referral order and the fine - which had to be paid before he left court, Essex police said.
There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

Mean while most looters will get a conditional discharge................

OK, please forgive me, as I'm not from the UK.
Now, let me get this straight... a kid
threw
a 1 pound coin at a city bus door, and he was not only arrested for it but was fined 335 pounds? What did he do; break the window on the bus door or something?
I could see throwing a rock, brick or something at the door and getting busted for it, sure. But a
coin
?
Methinks that the local constabulary could be spending their time handling more serious crimes, like all of the LOOTING!
Matt... I hope everyone they caught gets the maximum penalty, just like the folks who set cars on fire and throw trash cans into storefronts when their fave sports teams win the World Series (or lose it).

A Pound coin is quite a chunk of metal. Imagine four Quarters taped together and then throw that at a moving vehicle. However I can't help to think that if you did do this in the States, you would be charged with attempted murder and threatened with 20 to life

According to the news report the fine had to be paid before he left court. I assume that means he had the wherewithal to pay it.
Every news report I can find on this incident reads exactly the same as Ozzy's quote. What isn't clear is whether the guilty party was on board the bus or outside it when he threw the coin. Also how much damage was caused to the bus door. Typically bad news reporting.

Matt,
To be honest... if you threw something like that at a moving vehicle here in the States someone would probably say to you, "Well, that was a waste of a dollar!"
Of course, where I grew up the kids loved to throw dirt clods at cars in the Summer, and snowballs in the Winter. So, go figure...
I just thought it was a pretty stiff penalty. Now just wait a couple of years... someone like me could go to jail because I don't have Health Insurance!! LOL

So what would happen if you
Did this???
Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

Never been able to understand rap or what some people find so attractive about some of those images. Does anyone know how to painlessly erase some images from someon
es mind? Because my way isn't very pretty.
And also, back in Georgia, I remember I had a school bus driver that has actually had model rockets shot at the school bus on the last day of school. Thank goodness it didn't happen on the year I was on that bus.

Don't reeally find it interesting. Cant even hear what they say. even if i could I wouldn't understand
. I was just looking on the Internet for the history of rain dancers and that came up. I like classic music.

Yeah, I figured it wasn't your type. I figure a good percent of the people who like that type of music are people who just hang around street corners and back alleys all day. (I said a good percent, not all so no offense to anyone)
Classical sounds a bit more like you.
