Good afternoon everybody.  I'm hoping someone has had this problem before so they could help me. So I downloaded and installed the FSXTOMRUT HA340-600 package.  I see the plane on the main menu when I start up the game, but the problem is when I select the newly installed plane and click the "ok" button, the whole game closes out.  Is something wrong with the files or is it just the game and how do I fix this? Please help!!!

Hi,

Saw your post; downloaded "FSXTOMRUTHA340-600_Pakage.zip" from this site; opened the zip and copied the "Tom_A340-600" folder to FSX.  Started FSX and selected one of the variations.  Started fine.  I'm using Acceleration on XP.

Thanks for the reply jim. I finally figured out what I was doing wrong. Now I'm dealing with a new problem and that is notepad not letting me save my plane textures. Would you happen to know how to override it?

Copy the aircraft cfg. file to your desktop, make the changes. Then, replace the original aircraft cfg. with the one from your desktop Wink

Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

Thank you for the suggestion Chuck, but even after I take the .cfg file out, edit the textures, and reinsert the file back into the folder, the textures do not show up in the main menu. Is there anything else that can be done?

Make sure the "Show all Variations" box is checked on the aircraft selection page.
