Good afternoon folks... Smiley

Well I placed this Post here rather than the Real Aviation Forum as I thought it would probably get expanded and bandied about and perhaps...just perhaps...get off topic a little... Grin

No...not here at Simviation....Right... Grin     Roll Eyes

I was talking to another Old Retired Rocking Chair Flying Geezer about the old Flying Clippers...

Here is an excellent Link but still lacks the information I was looking for...

http://www.flyingclippers.com/S42.html

The Link refers more to Pan American than Imperial Airways and what I wanted to know is where did Imperial Airways get the names for their flying boats like the Sunderlands...

Here is a Link to Clipper Ships Names:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_clipper_ships

I do not see one of the names from the flying clippers here so perhaps they were not named after the big square riggers.

Clipper Ship:

So I would really like to know where Imperial Airways got there names for their Flying Boats... Smiley
