I had a thought today when I was in the middle of that thing we LOVE...Loading new aircraft. I right clicked the aircraft folder like I do from time to time just for $&@#'s and giggles and I thought IS there a limit?  I Guess you can put a t-bite worth of planes in there. As it stands now I have only 5-Gigs worth in there.  Smiley Thank you simV....as I duck out of the room.

Just curious how many you actually fly regularily - ??

Adding aircraft is a "phase" I think most of us have gone through - only to finally realize that we seldom (if ever) fly most of them.

Sooner or later the miriad of aircraft will noticeably slow down your FS bootup time - if it is not already doing so.

Just an observation from one who has "been there-done that".

Hey guys.
Thanks for your replys. (And your kindness on this matter) I have to explain "why".  I've always had a passion for Tech....Anything Tech. I work on simple electronics as a hobby.   beleve me...that's not my only hobby,  Exibit-A  Smiley  I've always LOVED... Buttons,..Switches,..Gauges,..Toggles. You know..that kind of stuff. Then! I found FS9...THEN! I found SimV. THEN! I found planes like Virtavia's B-66 Bomber and his F-4 Pantom. And planes like Rick Piper and his teams HS-748.......I Have Died And gone To Heaven!  I LOST IT Undecided.   Ok...On how many planes I fly...I don't realy fly FS9's Planes anymore Exept the Moony,Beech Baron58,the Boeings, and the DC-3 once in a while. It depends what mood I'm in.  I've gottin' real good at running the HS-748! ( A Tech Lovers - - - Dream) "These Planes Were Listed In Order Off Aquisition No Dissrespect To any Building Teams Eather Here Or The Many Not Listed"  Ok..In the words of the great "Tom Hanks"...Thats all I have To Say About That Wink.          Thank You For Reading!            Blaze Out!

I know I'm a bit of a freak when it comes to my sim, but I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 70 GB of aircraft in my hanger (and YES, it does take a while to load the sim,LOL) but I like it. Do I fly ALL of them on a daily basis, not on your life.  I do however, enjoy the fact that they are there when the mood hits me to use something different. Sometimes you get bored with Cessnas and Vipers, and you just gotta fly a Caproni Stipa!

Specs: Asus Crosshair nForce 590 SLI,

And don't forget FS9 parks all the AI aircraft in that folder also.  A few PAI packages, some WOAI packages, a sprinkling of MAI, and suddenly your aircraft folder assumes gargantuan proportions.

Seems every time I weed out those planes I never fly, I just install that many more.  Face it, we're addicted.
