Don't know, don't care, looked good. It looked like some of the trees were swaying in the wind in the scene where the flight was low at just above the tree-tops in the valley.

A friend of mine found it on a Microsoft sub-website and figured out how to download the video. He then uploaded it to youtube.
He found it here:

Yeah, my CPU just crapped itself, too. Still, it looks about as impressive as I hoped it would. Much more going on there than any previous teasers let us see. I'm impressed by those cloud formations and the trees. They aren't just two polys spliced together!

Have not seen any posts from you in quite a while.

I always get a bit excited when a new webisode is released, but I'm only going to get very excited when they show some big jets!
BTW does anyone know when the next webisode or screen-shots will be posted? It's been AGES!

They don't post on a regular timeline
. They update when they feel like there's something new

has anyone else noticed that this video was primarily around the island of Hawaii?
HEY MACROCRAP!!! (micro$oft) How about show us something from somewhere other than 1 friggin island chain. How about Europe? Asia? Africa? Antarctica? ...... Pyramids of Egypt? Great Wall of China? Eiffel Tower in Paris? -- so far all I have really seen from webisodes, teasers, pictures is HAWAII!! WHAT GIVES!?
yeah the video does look nice, but come on. Micro$oft did this before they released FSX. got everyone sooooo excited by showing what it was going to look like (hawaii) then let EVERYONE down with the rest of the world. I really hope that FTX continues to develop scenery areas for FSX even after Flight does come out, cause it will be a long time before I jump on the band wagon. Sorry guys.

Calm down, I doubt they will change their future marketing strategies because one person asks. Yes, it would be nice to see other locations, but I think they are trying to show us more than the scenery...but what the new engine is capable of. Hawaii is a great place for that. The scenery they are showing us is better than any default scenery has ever been...maybe even better than some payware. The whole world obviously won't be AS good, but with today's technology, it all has the potential to be pretty good even without add-ons. We'll have to wait and see....they are probably still working on all the other parts of the world. It's a big planet, you know. The Flight team works their asses off while the Microsoft marketing department sits back and tells them when they can and can't release new media of this plane, that plane, this location, etc.

Countdown To flamewar:
10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2...
But Seriously I agree with what you're saying but Doing with that aggression really doesn't increase the chances of Microsoft listening to (us)
sadly
.
But I do hope they do other areas too

its just sad that Micro$oft always uses Hawaii as their "teaser" grounds. They never show any other part of the world as their teasers. Everyone gets hooked by their teaser, and then when the product finally comes out. the "product" is NEVER anything like what they show it to be.
If someone builds a scenery (orbx for fsx) they give a teaser of what it looks like. If I am going to fork out $40 for that scenery, then it better dang well **BE** that scenery. .. same goes for the overall product.. if i am going to drop $80-100 on something that is "advertised" to look a certain way, then I want my $80-100 worth of it looking and being what is shown, not some crap job that was just thrown together because the Marketing Group wants to release the whole project 2 months early.

Do you have any idea how much work does into making a flight simulator with quality global scenery?
They know their mistakes with FSX...they are likely not going to make the same ones and post shots of what they can't deliver.

People said that about,... Almost everything Microsoft or apple have released.
True fact

Because Hawaii is less detailed, light and easier than most other sceneries and so ideal to be used to showcase performances that aren't there (
look at FSX and its demo for example
)?
Seen the amount of willingness to work on their projects thereabout (
which is more or less equal to the amount of heat you can find in intergalactic space
), you must understand them trying to not getting too fancy, especially in demos and similar things.

I think you're missing the point... they aim only to get your
MONEY
,
NEVER
to bring you satisfaction, and if it happens, it's only a mere coincidence. I thought that was clear to everyone who ever had anything to do with them?

Or maybe, just maybe, its because Hawaii is scenic, making it one of the most popular vacation spots in the Western Hemisphere.
It has water, mountains, rivers and streams, forests, and sunsets on the beach. Everything needed to showcase pretty imagery.

Sorry, this is one huge... debatable statement. With all the splendid small Pacific islands (
those not radioactive because of nuclear experiments, mind
) from there to Korea, you sure seem biased.
And even IF... what has that to do with flight [hopefully] simulation?

Wow, really? It had everything to do with Flight. You must have really had a
terrible
experience with Microsoft. If what they/the Flight team does is so bad...X-Plane exists.
