A simple conversion I use is 16C X 2 + 32 = 64F (aprox.) Yesterday was in the low 80s however. Stay cool, Larry.
I just work it out in my head...
C to F... Multiply by 9, divide by 5, add 32.
F to C... Minus 32, times by 5, divide by 9 (or divide by 10, then add on a further tenth of that)
Gets you to within half a degree usually.

Living here in the United States of America the temp is shown both ways, "F" for fahrenheit, and "C" for all those Canadians out there!

Man, you still with that old and rickety Fahrenheit scale over there?
...and pounds (
meant as weight measurement, not quids
), yards, statute miles and gallons too?
What will it take for you to join the rest of the world in the third millennium... I do not want to know.
There is no such a thing as overkill. Only unworthy targets.

Which scale is more accurate?
Fahrenheit - 180° between freezing and boiling
Centigrade - 100° between freezing and boiling
Not that it makes much difference in South Florida.
90° F or 32° C and 90% humidity we would just call it hot as a mofo.

Not interested in joining them. They can join us if they like.
If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

After the hot spell and the cooler air mass pushes in then comes the storms and tornadoes. We topped out at 16C today. A simple conversion I use is 16C X 2 + 32 = 64F (aprox.) Yesterday was in the low 80s however. Stay cool, Larry.
I'll try Steve.
But your formula in reverse would indicate 19C here for the next five days.
You'd be 33C.
I gave up on your formula and used my converter. We're both wrong. It's 37C/99F here.
(That's sweat, not tears)
My house is poorly insulated, so my central air does not do a great job. I had it set on 75F/23.8C and at 0500 this morning it was 82F/27.7C in the house.
Last year the AC in my house broke during the hottest part of the summer. I remember recording a temp of 96°F in my room with windows open and fans at full blast.
I just resorted to staying at a friend's house for that week and a half.
MY SPECS= 5' 11" Slightly less than healthy male, 160 lbs., Brown eyes........Oh...you were wondering about my

We had a record high today of 105F. It's 1813 hours and still 103 outside, 84 inside with air conditioning and ceiling fans on wide open.

WOW!
We got a balmy 94 at 1839CDT.
I reckon I missed the memo cancelling the rest of spring!
Seems like we went from snow to tornadoes to sweatin' more than a streetwalker in church in a very short timespan.

Yeah, 105 is pretty darn hot, wouldn't be a good time to stick your tongue on a metal flag pole!

Please feel free to send some of that warmth over here, I'm freezing my ass off. We're not used to the cold.

Just a little while ago I was lookin' at "La Nina" effects.......looks like extra-chilled Fosters is a 'side effect' much like our recent tornado outbreaks.
I know a few folks that'd trade ya a chill factor for their recent 150mph+ breezy encounters.
