It's 1800 hours and still 98F. The forecast for the next five days is triple digits. I'm thinking about moving to Alaska. Roll Eyes

We hit 99 today. It's now 97.

The heat index (yesterday or the day before?) was 100 Angry

Let's go to Alaska, Larry Cool

After the hot spell and the cooler air mass pushes in then comes the storms and tornadoes. We topped out at 16C today. A simple conversion I use is 16C X 2 + 32 = 64F (aprox.) Yesterday was in the low 80s however. Stay cool, Larry.

Say what you want, but I'd rather sweat than shiver. I HATE cold weather!

It got up to about 85 F here today, and I spent the day working on my old pick-up under a shade tree. It wasn't too uncomfortable. We're looking at a high of 95 tomorrow. I'm alright with temps anywhere between 50 and 100 degrees, so we'll be cutting it close. Wink

My wife is in Tuscaloosa visiting family and said she actually got sick from the heat. I still have the heat turned on out here in the SF Bay Area haha.  I think it got up to 65 degrees today.

Or maybe Hobart, Tasmania. It's 55F there right now.

Then we could move slowly north as the temp drops. Roll Eyes

I'll try Steve.  Sad

But your formula in reverse would indicate 19C here for the next five days.  Cheesy

If I had my way, it would never go above 75F or below 40F. Anywhere in between is fine with me. Smiley

How are things going in Tuscaloosa Justin? Are they still cleaning up debris?

Well folks we finally have seen the sun several times but now back to more rain later today...

It has been very humid but we have central air so it is not bad inside.

A friend of ours has a 45FT boat which they stay on during the summer and yesterday they told us they have had to put the furnace on during the night...

Being on or close to the water it is almost always windy and cool but of course we are only into the first week of June.

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

My niece in Tuscaloosa sent me a cellphone pic yesterday showing 101! Shocked  At 1:15pm!

And to allude to another query; recovery is painstakingly slow.

Not necessarily due to any silliness or extenuating circumstance, but moreso the sheer size and scope of the endeavor.

For the moment, we're alternating moderately hot mornings and mid days with pleasantly cool rainy afternoons... we ARE becoming somewhat tropical, here in Italy...

I gave up on your formula and used my converter. We're both wrong. It's 37C/99F here. Cry (That's sweat, not tears) Roll Eyes

My house is poorly insulated, so my central air does not do a great job. I had it set on 75F/23.8C and at 0500 this morning it was 82F/27.7C in the house.
