"ARMING AND FIRING ORDNANCE
Bombing and strafing with rockets are important activities in CFS2, but as in real combat, you've got to follow all the steps, or your ordnance will have no more effect than so many pounds of scrap iron. In Combat Flight Simulator 2, to drop the bombs or fire the rockets and have them explode correctly, you must first arm the ordnance.

If you simply press the key to drop or fire the ordnance, nothing will happen. You must first press the Cycle Ordnance Type key, even if you only have one kind of ordnance in your plane's loadout.

To arm your ordnance, press the Cycle Ordnance key (see table below), and then drop or fire it. We've given both types of command mappings, depending on which mapping you have selected for gameplay."
